A Truth Journal: Swift Boating POW Bergdahl: Smelly Pentagon War Crimes Cover-Up?: From Denny:  Well, blabbermouth Fox "News" is drooling at the prospect of destroying a recently returned POW - and they are doing it with malicious glee.  Fox News has always had the reputation as Swift Boaters, quick to lie about others, when an accounting of all of the facts proves them inaccurate time and again.  Their military "sources" - read that as pals who are partners in crime - at the Pentagon planted this story with Fox "News" of how the Pentagon wants to charge POW Bergdahl with desertion.

You see, according to Fox "News" the Pentagon sees this as a "win-win."  The Pentagon got it in their little pointed heads that if they send out a retired military guy to spout their stupidity that it doesn't really count against them.  Seriously?  What drugs are these guys taking that so badly clouds good judgment?

The Pentagon political animals know they can only plant stories as trial balloons with Fox "News" because any other responsible news agency or network would start with the barrage of questions to flesh out the story in its entirety.  The Pentagon knows Fox "News" doesn't have any allegiance to compassion for POW Bergdahl - or the Truth. 

Of course, Rupert Murdock, owner of Fox "News," is known for lying and stirring the pot to promote yet more lies to get market share derived from the manufactured controversy.  Like any yellow "journalism" tabloid owner Murdock knows if he tells the lies often enough and loudly enough, eventually the mainstream media will pick up his manufactured story, achieving what Murdock wanted all along: big profits.

Murdock and the fools that follow after him to do his bidding really don't care about how many lives they destroy along the way.  For them character assassination is their daily stock and trade.  Obviously, they treat harming others like it's a malicious extreme sport.  Tabloid "reporters" are the bullies in the news services...

A Truth Journal: How Democrats Can Win Midterm Elections? If Women Ain't Happy Then Country Ain't Happy: From Denny:  Women voters are furious at not having our issues taken seriously by either national political party.

Women voters are the foundation of the Democrat Party yet do not get the time of day to get any serious legislation passed that could actually be effective to improve the lives of all women: equal pay, higher minimum wage, dealing with abuse online and in the work place, and, let's not forget the outrageous refusal of Military Rape Rights and justice for rape victims.  Congress arrogantly rejected to renew legislation against abusing women that had been passed by former Senator, now current Vice President Joe Biden.

Why should that kind of legislation have to be renewed in the first place?  We don't see that type of temporary odious legislation imposed upon gays or African-Americans.  Why do women get kicked around on these issues of abuse and rape?

If the Democrats want to win, and win big for the midterm elections, then it's time for the Democrats - and this President - to get decisive and make a big very public show of real action. And you know I'm gonna tell you how to achieve this...

A Truth Journal: Childish White House Press Secretary Pouts When Challenged By Kid Reporter: From Denny:  If there ever was a sign that Team Obama is unraveling and spinning out of control in their second term then the Press Secretary's childish response to a 16-year-old's poignant question in a recent news briefing is reflecting it.

Press Secretary Jay Carney behaves like a man who hates his job.  He looks like he is always sucking lemons and developing ulcers for some time now.  Clearly, this guy is not a good fit for Press Secretary because he sure does not know how to relate positively to the press, especially an ardent high school student.

Just what did this teenager, Gabe Finger, an intern at the snarky conservative The Daily Caller, ask that Carney found so odious?

After 3400 plus officially reported cases that actually went up the chain of command from a few brave commanders not willing to cover it up, there were only 190 of those 3400 plus sexual assaults and rapes that went to court.  No one resigned in shame for this pathetic record...

A Truth Journal: Scumbag Alert: Pentagon Still Promoting Rape and Sexual Assault: From Denny:  While the entire country and the President are appalled at the Pentagon's missteps to correct their vile attitude toward female service members, thousands of women are not getting justice.  Their rapists continue to be promoted to higher positions in the military, never punished or dishonorably discharged.  To add insult to injury the raped service members must salute that superior officer while she finishes her time in the military.

The Pentagon starts up sensitivity training programs, claiming they have vetted the men placed in charge of them.  Yeah?  Just recently one man was found to have sexually assaulted a woman in a public parking lot. Obviously, he is mocking the very issue of rape and sexual assault publicly.  He was also in charge of one of those classes and possess a high rank he certainly does not deserve.

The Pentagon claims that men should be in charge of these programs because the troops will not take women seriously as the leaders of these programs.  Really?  What the Pentagon is really saying is that they don't take any military women seriously.  Why are they even bothering with sensitivity training in the first place?  Does Sec. Hagel really believe that re-vetting those in charge of these programs is really going to change the outcome?

The Social Poets: Women: Pentagon Rapists Decide If Rapes Prosecuted

The Social Poets: Women: Pentagon Rapists Decide If Rapes Prosecuted: From Denny:  This week two new lawsuits against the military were brought concerning sexual assaults in the military academies.  It was necessary because the women were unable to get investigations into the crimes.  They were also wrongfully discharged as retaliation for reporting their rapes.

This past year sexual assault reports in the military have increased by 60 percent.  Sec. of Defense Leon Panetta reads that as women are more comfortable and trusting to make those reports.  Well, that's one optimistic way to view it.

One one court martial for all those reports

Of the 65 reports, only one resulted in a court martial.  It makes you wonder if only one out of the 65 was truly investigated so the Pentagon threw out this bone to the women's groups to look like they were achieving something significant.  And did I mention the White House declared April as Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month?

Dennys Global Politics: Egypt: Revolution Loses Meaning As Women Denied Rights, Role in Society: From Denny:  Egypt held so much hope for the world when the Arab Spring broke out last year, toppling the regime.

Then reality set in.  The very women that protected the men who marched, the very women who gave medical aid and money to help the revolution, were turned upon and denied their respect and freedom.

The protesters took it all and gave nothing in return by denying women a seat at the table while they restructured the national government.  The former male protesters and the Egyptian military council refused the concepts of generosity, kindness, partnership and equality.  To the women, the protesters and the military are no different than the regime:  all deny freedom and equal rights to women.

Early on as the protesters agreed to talks with the Egyptian Army to take over as a transitional government it was the protesters who sidelined women and women's rights. That's when they lost this blogger as an advocate for I saw it as just more of the same cultural garbage women are expected to tolerate, especially in the Middle East.
